Five Dollar Friday to save the shelter!
FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY FOR SECOND CHANCE PET RESCUE
HELP US KEEP THE SHELTER OPEN!
Can you spare just five dollars to help us keep our shelter open?
The COVID-19 situation is continuing to have devastating impact on our budget; the temporary closure of the thrift when the pandemic first hit cost the shelter over $35000 in funding normally provided to shelter operations. Now, with Delaware County back up to a HIGH RISK level for Covid, the thrift shop, which is manned mostly by older volunteers, has been forced to close its doors again.
For just $5, we can all make a huge difference.
Second Chance has 8632 fans here on Facebook...if every fan donated JUST $5 we could raise over $43,000 in one day!
That money would make up for 3 MONTHS of thrift shop funding which we so desperately need for our animals!
Don’t underestimate the power of just $5!
So far this year, despite working with such limited funds, we have
🌻 taken in 689 homeless pets
🌻 found homes for 248 pets
🌻 transferred out 404 pets
🌻 provided 126 low cost spay/neuter vouchers to area pet owners
Despite the struggles, we are still here. We are still caring for our homeless pets and continuing to do everything we can to help the homeless pets in our community, but our funds are quickly running out.
The date reopening of our thrift shop is uncertain, and with that, so is our future . Our operational funds just cannot stretch any further.
Please consider donating just $5 (or whatever you can) to help us keep our door open. The pets are counting on us, and we are counting on YOU!
